Connecting deeply to your Moon helps you make a strong emotional connection to not only your subconscious but also your inner child and your heart space. 

Moon Signs: Similar to your Sun sign, your Moon sign is determined by the position of the Moon at your time of birth. It reflects your emotional nature, inner feelings, and subconscious tendencies. We will explore how the Moon manifests herself through the signs.

Moon Phases: Astrology also considers the phase of the Moon at the time of birth. The Moon goes through distinct phases, from New Moon (beginning) to Full Moon (culmination) and back again. Each phase is associated with different energies and themes. We will see how your Moon phase influences your life. 

Moon Houses: The house in which the Moon resides in your birth chart signifies the area of life where your emotional needs are most prominent. Understanding which house your Moon is in gives you greater awareness of its influence.  

Aspects to Other Planets: The Moon forms aspects (angles) to other planets in the birth chart, which further influences its expression. Harmonious aspects (such as trines and sextiles) can indicate ease and support, while challenging aspects (like squares and oppositions) may point to inner conflicts or tension regarding emotional matters.

Moon and your Mother:  Your personal Moon sign can give you great insight into your mother and your relationship with her (or your primary caregiver).  Learning about the psychological basis of this connection not only can provide a different perspective, but it is also healing to discover how this can be related to ancestral healing.  

Understanding the Moon in astrology can provide insight into your emotional landscape, inner needs, and instinctual responses to life's challenges and opportunities. It's a key component of a comprehensive astrological interpretation, offering guidance on how to nurture and balance your emotional well-being.

If you wish to have your birth chart with you for reference as we move through the lessons (recommended), please submit your date of birth, EXACT time of birth* and location of birth before the event and your chart will be printed for you. 

*Exact time of birth is vital to correctly cast your Ascendant sign and your moon sign.

About Erika:

Erika is an intuitive astrologer.  She combines the knowledge she has been acquiring about the complex nature of astrology, with connecting to the birth chart on an empathic level.

Erika's approach is to sit in ceremony with the chart and then begin to unravel the symbolism and archetypes to interpret what the cosmos is saying within the natal chart.

She believes that astrology is a tool to assist one in raising their vibration and connecting to their soul’s path.  She has spent the last two years studying at the Faculty of Astrological Studies in London and is working towards her diploma.

Erika is also a certified Embodied Reiki Level 2 practitioner.

• Please note that our classes take place in our Alchemy studio downstairs. Unfortunately, we are not able to offer wheelchair access at this time.
• Please note that cacao contains theobromine which, as a stimulant, can have a similar effect to caffeine. If you are caffeine sensitive, please let us know and we can provide a smaller dose or an alternative drink, such as rose tea.  We would advise to avoid ingesting cacao if you are pregnant, breastfeeding or you take any heart medication or anti-depressants as they can react with the cacao.  The safety and comfort of our guests are our top priorities and we can always provide an alternative option to cacao at any ceremony.
