The first sign of the Zodiac arrives with a bang!  Aries, whose symbol is the ram and ruled by the war-like Mars is not to be ignored.  This “God of War,” in the ancient Roman myth, brings destruction of the old forms and positive change for the future.  There is a childlike and reckless energy to Aries and Mars.  Light the fires and burn it down is the energy that can surround an Aries, with Mars cheering them on.  This energy is expressive, vital, impatient, and impactful. These people blaze trails, burn buildings, and use the ashes of their enemies to make things happen.

The First House is all about “who am I?”  This is the House of the Self; we will dive into 1st house topics such as our temperament, our identity, how we are impulsive (looking at you, Mars) and our vital essence.  

This is not to be missed as the First House is a fundamental part of our chart, even if you don’t have any planets in it.  This dictates our Rising Sign and who people meet when they first encounter us and gives us our chart ruler, the energy that is driving the chart.  

What to expect: 

Before we dive into the lessons, we will choose either a sacred cacao or a rose tea to open our heart chakras; a beautiful way to enter the space as we begin to gain an understanding of the maps of our birth charts. The process of learning astrology and gaining insight into our birth chart is a sacred space as it is a vital part of our spiritual essence.

Who is this suitable for?

No prior knowledge of astrology is necessary to join us; we welcome complete beginners and those who might have some knowledge but wish to dive further into the study.

Your chart:

If you wish to have your birth chart with you for reference as we move through the lessons (recommended), please submit your date of birth, EXACT time of birth* and location of birth before the event and your chart will be printed for you. 

*Exact time of birth is vital to correctly cast your Ascendant sign and your moon sign.

Your choice of cacao or organic rose tea to sip whilst learning. 

About Erika:

Erika is an intuitive astrologer.  She combines the knowledge she has been acquiring about the complex nature of astrology, with connecting to the birth chart on an empathic level.

Erika's approach is to sit in ceremony with the chart and then begin to unravel the symbolism and archetypes to interpret what the cosmos is saying within the natal chart.

She believes that astrology is a tool to assist one in raising their vibration and connecting to their soul’s path.  She has spent the last two years studying at the Faculty of Astrological Studies in London and is working towards her diploma.

Erika is also a certified Embodied Reiki Level 2 practitioner.

• Please note that cacao contains theobromine which, as a stimulant, can have a similar effect to caffeine. If you are caffeine sensitive, please let us know and we can provide a smaller dose or an alternative drink, such as rose tea.  We would advise to avoid ingesting cacao if you are pregnant, breastfeeding or you take any heart medication or anti-depressants as they can react with the cacao.  The safety and comfort of our guests are our top priorities and we can always provide an alternative option to cacao at any ceremony.
