Facilitated by doctor, herbalist and master plant ceremony facilitator, Ifey Ihonor, you’ll get to taste test a variety of ceremonial cacao from across the globe and learn how to work more confidently with cacao, so you can serve this sacred medicine safely, respectfully and with maximum effect.

• This class is not recommended for anyone who is diagnosed with cardiovascular disease, anyone who has an allergy or intolerance of cacao, pregnant, or anyone with a pacemaker.
• Please check with your doctor if you are taking medications that may interact with medicinal herbs and cacao.
• Please note that our classes take place in our Alchemy studio downstairs. Unfortunately, we are not able to offer wheelchair access at this time.

• Please purchase mindfully as we do not offer refunds or class credits.  However, if you can no longer attend and wish to gift your ticket to a loved one, we honour name changes on tickets - please just email us with the name of the new attendee in advance of the event.
• About cacao: Please note that cacao contains theobromine which, as a stimulant, can have a similar effect to caffeine. If you are caffeine sensitive, please let us know and we can provide a smaller dose or an alternative drink. We would advise avoid ingesting cacao if you have a heart condition, are pregnant, breastfeeding or you take any heart medication or anti- depressants, as they can react with the cacao. Likewise, if you have had a medical diagnosis of bipolar, psychosis, or schizophrenia, please do not ingest. The safety and comfort of our guests is our top priority and we can always provide an alternative option to cacao at any ceremony. If you have any questions at all, please contact the event facilitator or Fire + Alchemy.
• Cacao may not be suitable for people with certain medical conditions or those taking certain types of medication (especially MAOI anti depressants and blood pressure medication). You do not have to drink cacao to participate in this workshop, but please check with your doctor if you wish to consume any cacao offered during the event.
