Whether you are local or visiting London for the first time, this tour will offer you a unique insight into London's past, as well as it’s present and future.

Our Central London Tour: 

This is the first of our tours we will be offering throughout London. A 2.5 - 3 hour walking tour, we start at the Crypt entrance of St Martin’s in the Field, Trafalgar Square. Here you will be greeted by your tour guide, Author, Gemma Petherbridge. 

From there she will introduce you to some of the most sacred, often forgotten sites around London.

What to expect:

Together you will explore how London came to be, we will travel through history to understand the city’s connection to Egypt, the Romans and the Age of Enlightenment. You will learn the tales of the witches of London, see the homes of secret societies and walk the streets that birthed London’s New Age Movement.

Learn about the Gods and Goddesses who were worshipped here including Isis and Father Thames, the spirt of the Thames River itself. You will see how within a matter of steps you can journey from the mythical Temple Church to the home of famous figures like Sweeney Todd, or sights made famous on the big screen.

Throughout the tour you will learn about the sacred ley lines running under the city and how they have shaped it’s story. The lines, wells and many other energetic locations are a hint to London’s past. A place of ancient stone circles and sacred waters for forgotten locations dedicated to honouring such moments as the Solstices and Equinox.

Together there will be 15 stops, many with areas you can sit and rest while Gemma shares new information. The tour ends outside The British Museum, offering you a chance to explore the crystal skull, Goddess statues and esoteric tools housed inside (admission is free).

Where Does the Tour Start:

Gemma will meet you outside the main Crypt Entrance of St Martin's in the Field Church, Trafalgar Square (WC2N 4JJ). More information on the actual meeting spot will be emailed to you upon booking. 

Please note:

We always leave on time so please arrive at least 15 minutes early if you want to use their rest room and purchase a drink and snack at the popular Crypt Cafe.

No Pets (other than service dogs). 

Not suitable for Wheelchairs or prams.

Where Does the Tour End?

We will finish outside The British Museum, Great Russell St, London WC1B 3DG.

How long is the Tour?

The tour is 2.5 to 3 hours in length. Along the route there will be areas to sit while Gemma talks but please make sure you have gone to the toilet and have everything you need with you as we cannot make extra stops.

Accessibility? 

This is a walking tour, often on flat land but in some areas accessibility will be uneven and will include steps. Therefore you need to be able to walk for over an hour with ease.

What do I need to bring with me?

The tour will go ahead in all weathers, therefore please make sure you arrive in comfortable shoes, with a bottle of water and clothes that match the weather. Depending on the time of year, you might also need an umbrella, suntan location and a hat.

About Gemma
