The Autumn Equinox, occurring in the UK on September 22 in 2024, marks a significant moment when day and night are almost perfectly balanced. This unique event, where the sun crosses the celestial equator, symbolizes a time of balance and transition. Mabon, a pagan festival celebrated around the Autumn Equinox, embraces this concept of balance; it is a time to honour the balance in our lives as we prepare for the changing seasons. It’s a moment to give thanks for the abundance of the harvest and reflect on the cycles of nature. 

As the days grow shorter, Mabon encourages us to find equilibrium within ourselves and our surroundings. Join us in celebrating this special time of year, where we’ll gather together in the Witches Learning Circle to appreciate the blessings of the season and embrace the shift from light to dark with gratitude and mindfulness. In this circle you’re invited to embrace this harmonious interplay between the brightness and shadow of the Autumn Equinox and to craft a gratitude spell together to bring in balance.
